Transcendental

Arguments that the preconditions of rational thought itself, the laws of logic, the reliability of reason, the uniformity of nature, and the intelligibility of the world, are only accountable on a theistic worldview. The claim is not that the atheist cannot reason, but that he cannot justify reasoning on his own premises. The characteristic move is the internal critique, pressing the opposing worldview for the grounds of what it already assumes.
